It's nice to have you here
I've been on the Internet for a long time. I was around during the BBS days when 1200 baud modems were the bomb, and I sit precariously on the threshold of fibre being the next step into quantum computing. Netfariously, I've been known as: ~NotDescartes, E.E. Cummings, Dawg, Naz, Pharos, and GnominClature. I've been sticking with this "outward" alias for about as long as my CoRE "underground" alias. If you know what those terms mean and the sort of organisation I'm referring to, great, but don't ask for my advice. Instead, allow me to offer my services to you.

What can I do for you? I've built a lot of computers. I've hosted businesses. I've been a graphic designer. I can network with the best of them. I'm capable of wearing many hats, so I'm confident in my abilities. Why? I learn fast and I work even harder. It all started in 1994 when I first started working at Duke Medical Center in Durham, N.C. I had a couple classes there and at N.C. State for the next few years. I discovered how much I loved college. I started East Carolina, my alma mater, in 1998.
Who I am
I am a Gnome. I believe in being Gnomish. What does that mean? Being a Gnome means living life by your own definition or trademark... however your reality is justified. The definition of GnominClature can be best referred to as a naming system to describe my views on life's experiences and the human condition. "GnominClature" by its very essence is mythical, philosophical, scientific, artistic, opportunistic, and ironic... at the very least, I attune myself to try to be each of these things. Instead of accepting what's been written, I have created my own belief structure.
When necessary, I grow to ten feet tall to make my points. I also realise that being small in life is absolutely necessary to ensure humility. To consider where I stand in the grand scheme of the university is also where I must sit. The teachers of science and mathematics is the core of how I understand the logical, but at the same time, I reap the benefits of being artistic and poetic. I take advantage of what's put in front of me while not forgetting in giving back to others that are in need. Did you notice that my preferred alias has George Carlin's initials and a Linux reference? Yes, that was purposeful. Life is an Irony of Smiles... notice the small's implications. There is much logic in just existing and letting life come natural.
What I've Done
I'm an E8 in the USAF. I've visited and lived in twenty-six percent of the world. I come from a hectic past, but I strive for the best in life. I graduated in 2001 with a Computer Science bachelor's and graduated again in 2004 with a master's in Industrial Technology and a second bachelor's in Information Technology. I have had one year of Nursing School, and I take apart cars for fun. I'm an Eagle Scout, and I enjoy oil painting nature scenes and writing poetry. I've started my dissertation in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. I adhere to the ideals of peace, but I don't recommend having a face off with me legally. I'm passionate; I'm human; I'm very much in touch with learning, researching, and developing for the greater good of humanity. I believe in "breaking even" in all respects.
Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to working with you. Get to Gnome me!
